DGUV 101-004 6B – Reconstruction Works Concerning Hazardous Substances in Buildings

künstliche Mineralfasern im Rasterelektronenmikroskop As one of the first societies for further training in Germany, BauAkademie developed the course in expertise for safety and health protection at works related to reconstruction of hazardous substances in buildings according to DGUV 101-004 6B.  

The most important hazardous substances: formaldehyde; wood preservatives, e.g. pentachlorophenol, Lindan; polychlorinated biphenyls; polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons; pesticides, e.g. pyrethroids; overview of further hazardous substances. Note: The hazardous substances asbestos and artificial mineral fibres as well as mold reconstruction are not dealt with here. For these substances, BauAkademie offers seperate courses.  

Published in the FATB 3/2002, the following design was developed by the technical comittee of civil engineering in corporationg with the Berufsgenossenschaft for construction with the decision of 11th December 2001: At reconstruction works of buildings with hazardous substances, those have proved their expert knowledge, who participated successfully in a course in expertise of safety and healt protection at the reconstruction of building pollutants. This course has to be approved by the Berufsgenossenschaft. The contents of the course that are mentioned later on correspond with the contents of annex 1 of the decision. The course contains 14 course units. BauAkademie has the approval of the course in expertise by German Berufsgenossenschaft in accordance to BGR 128 annex 6B. The footnote concerning paragraph 3.1.5  of TRGS 524 states that the expert knowledge acquired in accordance to DGUV 101-004 6A/B meets the requirements for expert knowledge in accordance to annex 2A/B of TRGS 524.  

DGUV 101-004 6B is recently available in the updated edition of May 2014.
